So, we're finally back home! I think all participants agree that it was a wonderful trip and much was accomplished. As for my job, me, many other guys and Mrs. Plotner were doing construction/gardening.
-The work site was a building where 5 entrepreneurs would work (2 of which we met: one served us BBQ and another catfish). Around this building there were to be gardens and an amphitheater; that's where we came in.
-A group led by Scott Burrell and David Smith did an amazing job building the amphitheater and the rest of the group including people from other churches did a lot of manual labor: digging holes, shoveling and wheeling dirt.
-Special shout out to Andrew Chappell who, despite one small incident, can handle a tiller like no other.
- Cutter and Lane teamed up with me to build a sweet bridge on the last day.
- Luke and Garrison insulated and put the walls of a bathroom up, while dodging pieces of sawed off tin.
- Ryan Carr, Tyler Bordeaux, Andy Kotz, Patty, and Wade Currie did the majority of the work on the theater, with help from others.
- Mark Carr, Christian Evans, Connor Vogel, Issac and Mrs. Plotner were all over the place digging, raking, planting, and whatever else was needed to create a beautiful landscape.
Overall, it was a great and exhausting week! It was truly amazing what God can use us to create in four short days.
