It's Thursday morning, our last day.
Last night for supper New Light Fellowship had us at their church along with all the other volunteers of the ALL CHURCH CHALLENGE we're participating in this week. After supper we stayed for a worship service. At the end anyone who wanted to join the choir could come up on stage with them to sing. Our whole youth group went up. There was more clapping and swaying on our part than there was singing but that's probably a good thing.

I'll be letting kids from here use my CrackBerry to post their thoughts and greetings as the day goes on.  There have been 2 already.

The thing that has struck me the most about all this is that we usually go somewhere looking to make an impact on a community, but this week we have come along side of kids already being taught to impact their communities.  Every morning our camp does a community service project. Yesterday we painted rusty playground equipment in a public park. On the way there we chant WE GOT TO WORK! WE GOT TO LABOR! WE GOT TO GET OUT IN THE FIELD FOR THE SAVIOR! over and over.

Today at the end of the schedule we're in charge of Recreation, so we're taking water balloons and launchers out to the park and shooting them at targets in the outfield ( Never shoot water ballons at people. It's dangerous. And it hurts.) The we're going to have a Mt. Dew chugging contest. Then we're going to drink all of the leftovers s-l-o-w-l-y.

Tonight there's a Fried Catfish dinner for us and the other volunterers. Looking forward to that.
