Well, as on most mission trips, things don't always go as planned. No internet at the church where the group is staying. Makes blogging a challenge! Gary Harris is blogging by phone and a number of the kids are texting me with updates that I will post as I getthem. I'm sure someone with a Blackberry will post some pictures soon.
Here are the updates:
From Christian Davis - I'm a group leader for the swim camp. We have a group of kids and rotate throughout the day to stations like music, swimming, sports, Bible stories and arts & crafts.
Hey - It's Hayley Upton. I have been working with the preschool camp - ages 3-5. The kids are super cute and are mostly boys. They are very wild and a ton of fun. They are too young to really nderstand the Bible stories so we are just trying to show them bunches of love and Jesus.
From Meredith Davis - I'm on the "Blessings" team. Monday we painted the hallways in Delta Fellowship, the church where we're staying at. Today we went to the Crestpark Nursing Home to play Bingo and we did stretching exercises. Then we brought cookies to the County Manager. Last we handed out free watermelon slices at the Food Giant.
To clearify the youth leader for swim camp was Johanna White not me(Christian)
